How to use Mutal Unnie
— an app that walks with you, not a fortune you look up
Mutal Unnie is a Saju app that looks after your schedule. It has all the Saju-app basics — birth chart, today's fortune, compatibility, date selection — and adds a loop on top: check today's rhythm → add events → log your mood → get a weekly summary. This basic loop is free, and Full Care for events, which includes an evening-before briefing and a day-of guide, is unlocked with Bok (福).

Why a fortune app you walk with, instead of one you just look up?
Most fortune apps are look-up apps. You go in when you're curious, read, and leave. But the real moments people seek out their fortune aren't when they're bored — they're when an important day is coming up. An interview tomorrow, a contract next week, a blind date this weekend.
Mutal Unnie was designed around those moments. It guides you through today, helps you prepare for the days ahead, lets you note how the day went once it's over, and after a week gives those records back to you. So it's built so that the more you use it, the more you learn about yourself.
A Saju app that looks after your schedule — with all the Saju-app basics, too
When you hear “specialized in managing your schedule,” you might wonder whether Saju is just a sideline, but it's the opposite. It's closer to having everything a Saju app should have, with an event companion added on top.
| Saju-app basics | In Mutal Unnie |
|---|---|
| Your birth chart · manseryeok | Eight Characters, Five Elements distribution, Ten Gods — the full table, all shown |
| Today's fortune | A rhythm card built from the iljin × your birth chart, in the Today tab |
| In-depth birth chart reading | “In-depth birth chart reading” — the blueprint of who you are |
| Daeun | “10-year rhythm map” — when the big waves come |
| Compatibility | “Relationship reading” — add the other person to see the tone between you two |
| Date selection | “Find a good day” — contracts, moves, confessions: pick the day first |
| Yearly fortune | This year's and next year's reports — preview all twelve months |
Up to here, other Saju apps have these too. What Mutal Unnie does on top is put those readings onto your calendar.
Rather than “your wealth luck this year is such-and-such,” “Your contract meeting this Thursday: the day has this tone, so just keep this one thing in mind” is what's actually useful, right? Mutal Unnie takes Saju beyond reading it, all the way to using it.
That's why you can add a day you picked through date selection as an event. Adding it and checking the D-day are free, and if you unlock Full Care for the event, you get an evening-before briefing and a day-of guide. Instead of looking something up and closing the app, it's built so everything connects into one flow.
The five tabs and what each one does
The daily loop
- Morning — check today's rhythmOpen the Today tab to see a rhythm card calculated from the relationship between today's iljin and your Saju. Take a look at the one-liner, like “Today's a day when expressing yourself goes smoothly,” and an action you can take today. We don't send morning or evening notifications at fixed times every day.
- Important events — Full Care when you need itAdding events, the D-day and the one-line rhythm are free. If you want deeper guidance, unlock Full Care with Bok (35 Bok) to get an evening-before briefing and a day-of guide. To receive push notifications, you need to allow notifications for the app and on your device.
- End of the day — emoji check-inGood / Okay / Rough: tap one and you're done. No need to write anything long. That single tap becomes the material for your report a week later.
- End of the week — Weekly reportSee your week's check-in graph and a one-line rhythm for next week, for free. Added to this is the Hit Ledger — a record of whether last week's forecasts were right or wrong.
No streak pressure. We show how many days in a row you've logged, but we don't reward it or nag you when the streak breaks. If you miss a day, it's just “Those days happen. Let's start again today.”
What's free / what needs Bok (福)
Bok is the currency used within the app. The principle is simple: checking your rhythm, adding events, logging your mood and the weekly summary are free; only the questions you ask Unnie and the longer readings Unnie writes for you are paid.
| Category | Free | Needs Bok |
|---|---|---|
| Daily | Today's rhythm card, mood check-in | — |
| Events | Adding events (unlimited), D-day, one-line rhythm hint | Unnie's Full Care (evening-before briefing · day-of guide) |
| Weekly | Check-in graph, one-line rhythm for next week, hit record | Unnie's weekly commentary (interpretation + strategy for next week) |
| Chat | — | Ask Unnie |
| In-depth readings | The full Four Pillars chart table, shown in full | In-depth birth chart reading, this year's and next year's reports, 10-year rhythm map, Find a good day, Relationship reading |
There are three lines we hold to when it comes to Bok.
- Bok never disappears. It has no expiry date.
- We always show you the price before you spend. You'll never open something and find Bok already deducted.
- Purchase pop-ups only when your balance runs short. No payment screen will pop up while you're using the app normally.
You can collect Bok without buying it, too. You can earn Bok through referrals, coupons and ads, and when you invite a friend, you both get some.
The Mutal Unnie Saju engine
Before interpretation, what we took care of first was calculation. In Saju, solar terms and stem-branch pairs are intertwined, so if even one date on a boundary is off, all Eight Characters can change. That's why we built our own manseryeok engine.
We separately verified tricky points like the Ipchun boundary, month-pillar transitions at solar terms and the Ja-hour boundary, and compared random samples against the lunar–Gregorian data published by the Korea Astronomy and Space Science Institute, confirming that the iljin and year stem-branch all match.
And the Four Pillars chart table is shown in full, for free, even on paid reading screens. Calculation results aren't something to hide.
Our principle: no scaring
The easiest way for a fortune service to make money is to feed anxiety. Things like “Bad luck has latched onto you, so you need to clear it now.” Mutal Unnie decided not to go that way. It might bring in one-off sales, but it ruins the brand — and above all, it's no way to treat people.
Every answer closes with one line of empathy → the Saju basis → one action you can take today. Even a rough iljin is put like this: “Today's rhythm is choppy. But a wave you see coming isn't so scary.”
And here's what we don't do: definitive prophecies, answers that feed an obsession with getting back together, or definitive statements about medical, legal or investment matters. If you seem to be struggling a lot emotionally, we stop the reading and point you to professional help.
Your first week: try it like this
- Day 1 — enter your birth date and see your result cardIt appears as soon as you enter it. If you don't know your birth time, you can leave it blank and start.
- Day 1 — add one upcoming eventAn interview, an exam, a doctor's appointment — anything. Adding just one makes a big difference to the app.
- Every evening — one emojiThat's all. Just 1 second.
- Sunday — open your Weekly reportYour week of check-ins shows up as a graph, along with scored results for whether last week's forecasts were right. When that “Huh, that was spot on” moment comes, that's when it really begins.
Let's walk together, starting today
Just enter your birth date. You can start without signing up.

Won't daily notifications feel like too much?
We don't send regular morning or evening notifications. We only send what you need — Full Care briefings, completed readings, the Weekly report and so on — and you can adjust all notifications, or each type, in Me → Settings. It's also fine to keep notifications off and check the app yourself.
Can I look at my family's or partner's Saju too?
You can, by adding them to My People. Choosing the relationship (spouse, partner, parent, child, friend) also changes the tone of the reading. But please be sure to get the person's consent before adding them. The daily loop and your conversations with Unnie are for you alone.
Can I look back at what I've logged?
In Life Map, your events, mood logs and the readings you've opened appear on a single timeline. Readings unlocked with Bok stay in your archive for good, and each one has a code (R-XXXXX) you can mention when you contact us.
I want to delete my conversations
There are two options. Delete chat history clears only the chat records, and Unnie still remembers the gist of what you talked about. Reset Unnie's memory forgets everything, including what was learned from your conversations. Both are immediate, permanent deletions that can't be undone, so we ask you to confirm once more to avoid mistakes.
How do I get a refund?
Payments on iPhone go through the App Store, and on Android through Google Play. Please request a refund from the store where you made the purchase. For iPhone purchases, go to reportaproblem.apple.com. For Android, see Google Play's refund guide. Bok from a refunded purchase may be taken back. For problems on our end, such as Bok not arriving, let us know through Support.
Can I use it on Android?
Yes. You can get it from the App Store on iPhone and from Google Play on Android. Get the app
