Invite a Friend and You Both Get 30 Bok
— why it's capped at ten a month
When a friend signs up with your code,
you both get 30 Bok — the inviter and the invited.
When that friend first gets Bok, the inviter gets another 70 Bok · Sign-up rewards are capped at ten people a month
Everyone on Mutal Unnie has their own referral code. It's the one written in large type at the very bottom of the Me tab in the app.
If a friend enters this code when signing up, you both get Bok. It's not just the person who invited — the person invited gets it too. That's the most important part of how this works.

How much do you get?
| When | Person who invites | Person invited |
|---|---|---|
| Your friend enters the code and signs up | +30 Bok | +30 Bok |
| That friend gets Bok for the first time | +70 Bok | — |
| Maximum per person | 100 Bok | 30 Bok |
The first top-up reward applies just once per friend. However many more times that friend tops up afterwards, nothing extra is added.
What can you do with 30 Bok?
Bok is the currency used inside Mutal Unnie. Rhythm cards and adding events are free to begin with, so you can use them without any Bok; Bok is for the things that go into longer readings.
| Feature | Bok |
|---|---|
| Ask Unnie (once) | 20 Bok |
| Full Care for an event | 35 Bok |
| Find a good day (date selection) | 45 Bok |
| Unnie's weekly commentary | 55 Bok |
| In-depth birth chart reading | 60 Bok |
| Relationship reading | 70 Bok |
| This year · next year report | 95 Bok |
| 10-year rhythm map | 125 Bok |
So the 30 Bok sign-up reward is more than enough to ask Unnie once. And the 100 Bok you get when a friend also tops up covers one in-depth birth chart reading.
Why it's capped at ten a month
Sign-up rewards are capped at ten people a month. That's a calendar month in Korean time, and it opens again on the 1st of each month.
You might ask, "Why put a limit on it?" It's not stinginess — it's by design.
Without a cap, what happens is predictable. Someone starts minting Bok by creating dozens of accounts and entering their own code. Then the inevitable next step is to cut or scrap the rewards. Plenty of referral programs have disappeared exactly that way.
So we set a cap from the start and, in exchange, chose not to cut the reward itself. The number ten is a line drawn between "enough to recommend to friends" and "not really enough to turn into a business".
For the same reason, a few more things are blocked.
- No self-referrals. You can't enter your own code.
- Each account can be referred only once.
- Repeatedly creating accounts on the same device is also filtered out.
- If a friend refunds their first top-up, that reward is taken back.
From the eleventh person on, even if your friend enters the code, neither of you receives the 30 Bok sign-up reward. The connection is still recorded, though, so if that friend later tops up for the first time, the 70 Bok comes through separately from the cap.
How does it work?
- Go to the very bottom of the Me tabThe code in large type is your referral code. It's also used to verify your identity when you contact support, so it's handy to know.
- Tap 'Share with a friend'A message with your code is created automatically. Just send it as is.
- Your friend enters the code when signing upThis is the important part. It can only be entered at the moment of signing up.
- You both receive 30 BokPayment is handled on the server. You can check it in your Bok history on the Me tab.
It can't be entered after signing up. A friend who has already finished signing up can't add a code later, because each account can be referred only once. Send your friend the code ahead of time.
Doesn't the invited person lose out?
No. The person who enters the code gets the same 30 Bok (as long as the inviter hasn't passed ten sign-up rewards that month). If they sign up without a code, they simply don't get that 30 Bok. Entering a code doesn't mean giving anything up.
Also, Mutal Unnie lets you use every feature without signing up. Logging in is there as a backup, so you can restore your records when you change devices. So there's no need to skip the code because "having to sign up feels like a hassle".
In case you were expecting something like this
We'll be upfront about it. This is not an affiliate program that shares revenue. There's no cash and no payouts. All you get is Bok to use inside the app.
Collecting a lot of it to sell isn't possible either. Bok received through referrals comes in as a type that can't be passed on as a gift (this, too, is set up that way to prevent laundering).
So this program is built for the situation "I used it, liked it, and recommended it to a friend". The cap is too low to use it for much more than that. That's the intent.
Just as we don't show only the hits, we try not to describe the reward structure only from its good side. It's the same reason we built the Hit Ledger.
Try it first — it's not too late to recommend it after
Rhythm cards and adding events are free. No sign-up needed.
